When I first arrived in Jax, March of 2005, there was an article in the Union that funds had been released to some government entity that was supposed to spend the next year taking water samples from both sides of the river from end to end. That was supposed to help "find" culprits who were dumping toxins into the river. What happened? Where are the results? Did someone get paid to shut up?

those results actually did come in and there was a lawsuit, jaxport was able to cover up the mess with the epa and paid some expenses but it didn't fix the problem, which is why it has become essential to commit to working on keeping the river clean and safe
